ঋষি কাপুরের মৃত্যুর কথা শোনামাত্রই টুইটে তাঁকে শেষশ্রদ্ধা জানান প্রসেনজিৎ চট্টোপাধ্যায়। তিনি লেখেন, ঋষি কাপুরের মৃত্যুতে একটা যুগের অবসান হল। তবে তাঁর কাজ অমর। আজীবন দর্শকদের মনে বেঁচে থাকবেন তিনি। তাঁর আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করি।
